The main objective of a technical translation is for the source text to be understood in the target language as well as in the source language, without affecting the accuracy of the contents. To achieve this, the mere translation of the source text into the target language is not enough. It is also necessary for the technical translator to understand the source text in the right way so as to get a result useful for the reader of the translated text.
